Hirota Heritage Glass Soy Sauce Dispenser — Small Round
Since 1899, Hirota Glass has kept its design archive within the company: a collection of drawings and forms passed down from the maker's founding in Tokyo. This small dispenser is one of the shapes reissued from that archive, made in the same hand-blown tradition Hirota has practiced for over a hundred and twenty years.
A simple round form, one of three shapes in Hirota's small dispenser line. The 50 ml size opens quiet possibilities: one at each place setting so each person pours their own, two or three side by side with different condiments, or a smaller pour of something used sparingly.
Two things about this bottle: the pour, and the build. The ground-glass stopper's lip catches stray drops and returns them to the body, so there's no sticky ring left on the tablecloth. The build is just two pieces of glass, held closed by the fit of the ground-glass itself. No screws, no rubber gaskets, no plastic. When it's time to wash, there's nothing to work around.

- Two glass parts only. No plastic, no rubber, no screws. Easy to take apart, easy to clean
- 50 ml round form, one of three shapes in Hirota's small dispenser line
- Fits any small-pour condiment: soy sauce, olive oil, balsamic, lemon juice, vinegar
- Kodai-iro (the color of Japan's classical era), a very subtle amber warmth traditional to Hirota
How it lives on your table is really up to you.
