Craft-U is the studio of artisan Yasunori Tokuma, who has been handcrafting original pieces from heat-resistant borosilicate glass since 1991. His small workshop in Niigata, Japan, is one of the few in the country where every item—from teapots to soy sauce dispensers—is carefully shaped using a burner torch, a technique known as burner work.
Each piece reflects a rare combination of technical precision and everyday practicality, made not for display but for daily use. From the delicate balance of a spout that won’t drip to the clarity that lets you see tea leaves bloom, these tools are created with both care and intention.
Loved by long-time users and shared at family tables, Craft-U’s designs are functional, beautiful, and surprisingly durable—meant to be used, repaired, and treasured again.
