A folding fan is the oldest answer to a hot day, and still the best one. Ours are made in Japan by long-standing workshops, from natural materials chosen to last.
Each is set on ribs of bamboo, split and shaped by hand, then finished in cloth or paper by people who have done this for generations. They fold flat to slip into a bag, and open to a quiet breeze on a hot train, a still afternoon, or a walk with no wind.
No charging, no noise, nothing to throw away. A folding fan is easy to carry, easy to keep for years, and easy to give. The old way, and still the better one.
