Nankei Ceramic Pour-Over Coffee Dripper
Coffee, Through a Japanese Lens
In Japan, tools for daily rituals are shaped by the belief that small, repeated actions deserve quiet attention. This ceramic dripper brings that philosophy to coffee brewing.
Rather than prioritizing speed, it encourages a slower, steadier pour — allowing you to feel the warmth of the ceramic, hear the drip, and settle into the rhythm of making a cup.
Designed to Slow the Drip
Unlike ribbed drippers designed for fast flow, the interior of this dripper is intentionally smooth and flat. Its straight, simple form allows water to pass through more gently, creating a calmer extraction that supports clarity, balance, and aroma.
The ceramic body retains heat throughout the brew, helping maintain stable temperature from first pour to last drop.
Made for One or Two Cups
This dripper is sized specifically for 1–2 cup conical paper filters. The proportions are deliberate — encouraging brewing in smaller amounts rather than large batches.
When paired with Nankei’s Sanpō brass stand, you can clearly observe how the drip progresses and how much coffee has collected below without lifting the dripper.
Clay That Ages With Use
Available in Kuro-Neri (Black Clay) and Shiro-Neri (White Clay), each finish reveals the natural character of the clay.
The surface develops subtle depth over time, responding to handling and regular use — much like well-loved Japanese teaware.
A Different Way to Think About Coffee Tools
Most coffee equipment is designed for precision, speed, and optimization. This dripper is designed for presence.
It turns coffee brewing into a small, daily pause — guided by warmth, weight, and material rather than technique alone.
