Designed for Free-Flow Brewing

The Manmaru glass teapot is designed around one simple idea: give tea leaves space to move, then strain only at the moment of pouring. Manmaru means “perfectly round” in Japanese, referring to the teapot’s spherical shape, which creates an open interior where leaves can fully unfurl and infuse evenly.

Loose leaves brew freely inside the rounded glass body without being confined to a basket or filter. Natural convection develops flavor and aroma, and when poured, the tea passes through a removable wire strainer fitted at the spout, gently separating the leaves while preserving uninterrupted movement during brewing.

Why the Brass Handle Matters

What sets this version apart is the solid brass handle. Slim and precisely shaped, it adds visual weight and balance to the transparent glass form while offering a firm, reassuring grip. Over time, the brass develops a natural patina, deepening in color and character with use—making each teapot subtly unique to its owner.

This is the most refined option in the Manmaru series, chosen for those who value materials that age beautifully and reward long-term use.
