To avoid plastic products, a water-repellent furoshiki was developed using 100% organic cotton. Thanks to its water-repellent finish, it resists getting dirty easily and dries quickly. Its 100% cotton composition and pleasant feel make it suitable for use as both a blanket and a scarf.
The beautiful lily patterns are inspired by the work of Yumeji Takehisa (竹久夢二, 1884 - 1934), a renowned Japanese poet, painter, and designer from the Taisho Era. Yumeji's art features dynamic patterns and distinctive colors derived from everyday motifs, making them perfect for a wide range of settings.
If the water repellency weakens over time, you can restore it by ironing (at a medium temperature). Normally, the water repellent effect should last for several years. However, if you've been using it for an extended period and the water repellency has diminished due to washing or friction, you can regain the water repellent effect by using a medium-temperature iron with a cloth as a barrier and ironing it on the surface.
Each item comes with a handy instruction booklet.
