In Japanese culture, the sparrow (suzume) is a symbol of community, protection, and everyday happiness. Small and lively, sparrows are often seen gathering close to homes and people—reminding us that warmth and security are created together, through presence and care.

In the ENGIMONO series—named after traditional motifs believed to invite good fortune—this familiar bird appears through scent.

ENGIMONO Sparrow carries a gentle woody fragrance with a soft, welcoming tone. Calm and comforting, it evokes the feeling of returning home—of shared meals, quiet evenings, and the reassurance of not being alone. It’s a scent that settles naturally into daily life, offering steadiness rather than spectacle.

The sparrow’s meaning is a quiet wish for protection and harmony—good fortune found not in grand moments, but in the comfort of everyday togetherness.

Crafted with natural aromatic ingredients designed for a gentle, low-smoke burn and a smooth, comforting scent.

After lighting the incense tip, gently blow out the flame to let the smoke rise. Use a non-flammable incense holder, and place a tray underneath to catch ash. Avoid using near flammable items or in windy areas. Handle with care, as embers may remain even after the smoke disappears. Keep out of reach of children.
