Sakura Wood Angled Spatula
The Sakura Wood Angled Spatula is designed for precise turning and control in the pan. The gently angled tip helps the edge slide naturally under food, making it especially useful for sautéing vegetables, turning delicate ingredients, or working in crowded pans.
Lightweight and balanced, the spatula feels smooth and comfortable in the hand while remaining gentle on cookware.
Crafted by Miyajima Kougei Seisakujo, a woodworking workshop founded in 1890 on Miyajima Island in Hiroshima, each piece is shaped from Japanese yamazakura (mountain cherry wood)—a hardwood valued for its strength, smooth grain, and the beautiful character it develops over time.
Designed for Precise Turning
The angled edge helps the spatula slide naturally under food, making it especially useful when sautéing vegetables, turning smaller ingredients, or working in crowded pans where control matters.
The Character of Sakura Wood
Japanese yamazakura has a distinctive feel—smooth and gentle to the touch while remaining firm and resilient. Because the wood is finished without synthetic coatings, it gradually deepens in color and develops a richer tone through regular use.
Control and Comfort in the Hand
Lightweight yet sturdy, the spatula feels balanced and comfortable during cooking. The angled tip allows subtle movements and precise turning while remaining gentle on cookware.

Japanese Yamazakura (Mountain Cherry Wood), Natural Uncoated Finish
Wash gently with mild soap and water after use. Do not soak for extended periods or place in the dishwasher. Dry thoroughly before storing and avoid prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight.
Because these tools are made from natural sakura wood and finished without synthetic coatings, the surface may gradually change with use. If the wood grain becomes slightly raised over time, it can be gently smoothed with fine sandpaper.
