Nankei Brass Dripper Stand — Sanpō
The Quiet Structure Behind the Brew
While the ceramic dripper shapes the flow of coffee, this solid brass stand provides the structure that holds everything in place.
Nankei calls this stand Sanpō (三宝). Traditionally, a sanpō is a small pedestal tray used in Shinto offerings. This stand gently echoes that form. Its three open sides not only reflect the original shape, but also create a practical benefit — allowing you to clearly observe how much coffee has collected in the server and how the drip is progressing from any angle.
This small detail changes the experience. You don’t have to lift the dripper or guess. You can simply watch the brew unfold.
Solid Brass, Meant to Age
Made from 3mm thick, uncoated solid brass, the surface gradually develops a soft patina through handling and exposure to air. Over time, the bright finish mellows into a deeper tone, reflecting regular use and touch.
Each piece is vacuum-packed when new. Once opened, the aging process begins naturally.
Designed to Pair with Ceramic
The warmth of brass complements the natural tones of Nankei’s black and white clay. Together with the dripper and server, it forms a brewing set that feels grounded, balanced, and intentional.
The stand fits Nankei’s ceramic dripper securely and allows space for the server or mug beneath.

Green oxidation (verdigris) may appear; it is harmless and can be removed with a cloth and mild vinegar-salt solution if desired.
