Japanese incense from Kyoto featuring sparrow motif and warm woody scent
Sparrow-patterned washi paper wrapping for ENGIMONO incense sticks

ENGIMONO Sparrow

$14.50

In Japanese culture, the sparrow (suzume) is a symbol of community, protection, and everyday joy—small but full of life. As part of the ENGIMONO series, this incense celebrates that spirit with a warm, comforting scent.

ENGIMONO Sparrow features a gentle woody fragrance with a smooth, welcoming tone. It’s the kind of scent that feels familiar and calming, evoking the warmth of home and the joy of simple things. The package is adorned with charming sparrow artwork, complete with coordinated washi paper to wrap each bundle.

  • Soft, woody fragrance with a comforting, familiar character
  • IInspired by the sparrow, a symbol of warmth and community
  • Approximately 40 long sticks per box, each burning 20–25 minutes
  • Packaged with coordinated sparrow-patterned washi wrapping
  • Handcrafted by Kousaido in Kyoto as part of the ENGIMONO series

Crafted with natural aromatic ingredients designed for a gentle, low-smoke burn and a smooth, comforting scent.

The box measures 15.5cm × 3.7cm × 2.5cm (6.1” × 1.5” × 1.0”) and contains approximately 40 long incense sticks, each with a burn time of about 20-25 minutes.

After lighting the incense tip, gently blow out the flame to let the smoke rise. Use a non-flammable incense holder, and place a tray underneath to catch ash. Avoid using near flammable items or in windy areas. Handle with care, as embers may remain even after the smoke disappears. Keep out of reach of children.
