Japanese Precision Kitchen Set
A set of everyday tools for the kitchen and the table, chosen for the small jobs you do again and again. Six stainless pieces and a Japanese cotton cloth, arranged in a half-moon gift box. It reads as a gift, and it works as one, but nothing in it is decorative. Every piece is made to be used.
Made in Tsubame-Sanjo
The tools are formed in Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata, an area of Japan known for metalworking. Stainless steel, a quiet weight in the hand, easy to wipe clean and made to last.
The six tools
- Fingertip Tongs. Short and precise, for handling delicate ingredients without touching them.
- Mini Tongs. The smallest, for pickles, garnishes, and small foods alongside rice.
- Grater Spoon. Grates ginger or garlic straight into the pan or bowl.
- Measuring Miso Muddler. Measures a portion of miso and stirs it smooth in one tool.
- Serving Tongs. Balanced for everyday serving at the table.
- Plating & Serving Tongs. Slotted tips for composed dishes and careful plating.
The cloth
A kaya-weave cotton cloth made in Japan, printed with a tongs pattern. Soft, quick to dry, and good for wiping or drying dishes. Please wash it by hand; it is not made for the machine.
