Bush Clover: One of the Seven Autumn Flowers in Japan

Even though summer is almost coming to an end, Japan continues to have many hot days. Today’s peak temperature in Tokyo was 33°C (91.4°F), and there was 67% humidity. It’s so humid! I am eagerly waiting for some cooler weather.

The flowering season for bush clover is from late July to mid-September. They bloom in the early summer and reach their peak in the late summer, making them one of the seven autumn flowers in Japan. Some gardens and parks have tunnels of bush clovers that provide pleasant shade for strollers. I like watching bush clover flowers sway in the breeze as they cascade over a wall. It means that the autumn is right around the corner!

I hope you’re enjoying the last few weeks of summer, and I'll be back with more shortly.
