Shigaraki ware (also known as Shigaraki yaki in Japanese) is pottery produced in Shiga prefecture's Shigaraki area. Shigaraki ware is one of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan. It is regarded as one of the most outstanding Japanese kilns, along with Bizen, Tamba, Echizen, Seto, and Tokoname, with traditions that continue to this day. It is estimated to have a 1,260-year history.
Yamaimo (or Japanese mountain yam) is one of the slimmest, slippery foods. Long, slender yams with dark brown skin are among the few edible tubers that can be eaten raw. This rustic, modern, and one-of-a-kind piece will certainly be a great addition to your dinner table.
